You can view proposals to develop the IRIS northern regional sewage treatment works and a new civic amenity site, to be based at an old farm in the north of the Island, tomorrow (Friday) and on Saturday.
The farm, at Balladoole on Bride Road, Lezayre, was purchased by the Department of Transport last year in partnership with Treasury.
The plan is to use part of the site for the sewage works, with a further section allocated for the civic amenity site.
The rest of the land will be leased back to the tenant farmer.
The open days will be held in Ramsey Town Hall from 11am until 4pm on both days.
The northern regional sewage treatment works will treat sewage flows from the Ramsey and Andreas catchments, ending the discharge of raw sewage to the outfalls at Ramsey and at Rue Point.
Environmental impact assessments are ongoing to confirm the suitability of the land for the development.
