TT Zero will be 'value for money'

by isleofman.com 23rd February 2010

Tourism Minister Martyn Quayle says he can’t predict how much cash this year’s green TT Zero race will cost to set up and run – but he’s sure it’s value for money.

Today (Tuesday) in the House of Keys he faced questions about how much the event will cost the taxpayer after the department decided to run it, rather than last year’s organiser TTXGP.

Mr Quayle said it was difficult to predict a final cost because the budgets for the event hadn’t been set yet.

But he told the House the zero-emissions race would raise the Island’s profile.
