Buses back in service

by isleofman.com 21st February 2010

Following the cancellation of all buses on the Island this morning, due to the heavy overnight snow, some services are back in operation this afternoon.

The Transport Division of the Department of Tourism and Leisure said, with effect from 2pm, normal services would resume on routes one and two, between Douglas and Port Erin, and Port St Mary.

Normal timetables would operate on routes 24A 25A and 26A, with the exception of Ballachrink, and routes 21 and 22 would resume after 2.30pm.

Meanwhile, Department of Transport staff are continuing to work to ensure the roads which have been closed due to the snow can reopen as soon as possible.
