Manx film glory could be on the cards tomorrow (Sunday) evening, with British actor Christian McKay in contention for a coveted BAFTA award.
He is in the best supporting actor category for his starring role in the film 'Me and Orson Welles', much of which was shot at the Gaiety Theatre in Douglas.
It was an extraordinary performance for a newcomer, and the Island's Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney says a repeat viewing still took the breath away (play audio file):
BAFTA stands for British Academy of Film and Television Arts, and the annual awards are the equivalent of the Oscars in the United States.
