by isleofman.com 19th February 2010

One of the biggest names in Rugby Union is the Guest of Honour at this evening's Vagabonds dinner at the Hilton Hotel.

Sir Ian McGeechan has been the head coach of the British Lions for four tours.

He won 32 caps at fly-half and centre for Scotland as a player and toured with the British Lions in 1974 and 1977.

As a coach, he led Scotland to a Grand Slam in the then Five Nations Championship in 1990.

At club level, he has coached Northampton and London Wasps.

He was in charge when Wasps won the European Heineken Cup in 2007.

Sir Ian has had a guided tour of Vagabond's new home from next season at Ballafletcher and is impressed:-
