'Legal highs' becoming illegal!

Mephedrone dealers will soon find themselves on the wrong side of the law after changes to the Medicines Act in Tynwald yesterday.

Health Minister Eddie Teare received unanimous support as he amended the legislation to include the so called 'legal high', effectively banning people from buying or selling it.

Although it still doesn't outlaw possession of the drug, Mr Teare said it was the best way his department could find to deal with the growing problem.

He told Manx Radio the changes to the law would make it easy to ban other legal highs in the future:
