Tynwald approves mephedrone legislation

Mephedrone is on the way to being banned in the Isle of Man, after Tynwald approved legislation to begin outlawing it.

The next stage will be presented to the court next month.

The moves come following growing calls to ban the substance, also known as "plant food", from the public and MHKs - particularly John Houghton.

Health minister Eddie Teare told Tynwald there's still plenty of work to be done:
