No plans for another linkspan

The Department of Transport has moved to scotch rumours another linkspan could be built in Douglas Harbour.

Minister David Anderson says despite the gossip, there has been no approach by any company to build a facility to bring in cargo.

He says he does't know where the rumours started, but there are currently no such plans.

Mr Anderson says another linkspan would breach the terms of the current user agreement with the Steam Packet Company:
