A senior politician has told Tynwald mass-privatisation of government enterprises is not the answer to the Isle of Man's economic situation.
Responding to comments by Michael MHK David Cannan, Eddie Lowey, MLC, warned against 'selling off the family silver' in the form of government run businesses, such as cafes and bars at the Villa Marina.
Mr Lowey illustrated his point by referring to the policies of one of Britain's most divisive prime ministers:
