Badly maintained cars will not be tolerated on Manx roads, according to the Island's police force.
They've been running a joint campaign with the Road Safety Unit to clamp down on faulty vehicles.
Spotchecks in early February found nearly 300 cars with problems, 30 of which resulted in the drivers being referred to the courts.
Inspector Mark Britton says cars with faults will be stopped.
