Early goals from Jason Craine and James Teare settled the contest to increase Ayre’s hopes of bouncing straight back into the top flight.

Douglas Royal remain very much in contention too after a 4-1 win at Foxdale.

Goals from Craig Dolman (two) and one each from Dave Skillen and Mark Dunn ensured maximum points.

Colby put nine past Douglas and District at Glen Road.

A 9-2 romp was secured through goals from Marty Moore (two), Sam Renshaw (two), James Collett, Kyle Lunn, Mark Barron, Adam Fretwell and an own goal.

The shock of the day came at Groves Road where lowly Ronaldsway won 4-3 at Pulrose.

Brothers Peter O’Brien and John O’Brien and Graham Dawson (two) were the scorers as the Rockets celebrated.

Malew and Ramsey Youth Centre shared the spoils at Clagh Vane – Matty Boyde the Youth Centre scorer and Dean Kinley on target for Malew from the penalty spot.

The match between Onchan and the Police ended goalless.
