Vagas beaten at home

by isleofman.com 13th February 2010

Vagabonds were beaten 23-13 at Glencrutchery Road by a big Warrington team who just outmuscled them.

The game was finely balanced at half-time with the scores level at 8-8.

A try from Adam Matheson and a penalty from Simon Heggs keeping Vagas interested before Warrington scored two quick tries and a penalty early in the second half to stretch out a 23-8 lead.

Vagas fought back hard in the closing stages but a Rob Martin try wasn’t enough to make a difference to the result.
