Four men were arrested in Douglas yesterday, as over ?20,000-worth of heroin was seized by police in a morning raid.

Two were local men in their 30s and two were from the Liverpool area, both aged 23.

All four were charged with drug trafficking offences and will appear in court this morning.

Acting Detective Sergeant Andrew Pailor of the Drug Trafficking Unit says, "This is a significant seizure of a potentially harmful drug which would have been dealt on the streets of the Isle of Man.

"The Isle of Man Constabulary is committed to reducing the supply of such drugs on the Island and disrupting the criminal networks engaged in this type of criminality".
