Optimism over Bowl deal

by isleofman.com 11th February 2010

There's fresh optimism the Bowl in Douglas can now be redeveloped in time for the Commonwealth Youth Games next year.

It's after the Corporation agreed to hand both the stadium and the Pulrose Road car park to government as a package.

But it comes with the proviso the council's given an agency agreement to run the car park as a weekday pay-and-display.

And the deal's on condition the stadium is fully redeveloped by government within 18 months.

Council leader David Christian says a compromise is the way forward.
