Man denies nationalist graffiti involvement

by isleofman.com 11th February 2010

A Port St Mary man has denied four charges of criminal damage following an outbreak of nationalist grafitti around the Island last month.

Twenty-two-year-old Mark O’Meara has had his case adjourned until March the second.

Twenty offences of criminal damage were reported between the evening of January the 16th and the following morning.

Various nationalist slogans appeared in prominent positions, including the names of countries and the years they achieved independence from Britain, which were daubed on walls and buildings.
