A former care home worker who had been charged with gross indecency and seven charges of indecent assault has been found not guilty of all offences.
Tanya Dobbie, from Santon, was cleared following a 12-day trial by jury.
The allegations, were made in 2007 by two girls who had been in her care and allegedly dated back to between 2001 and 2003.
But a seven-person jury took around three hours to find Ms Dobbie not guilty.
Detective Sergeant Cathryn Bradley of the Public Protection Unit Investigation Team said it had been a lengthy and complex investigation by the very nature of the charges which result from historical allegations by young people in care.
She added that police had worked closely with Social Services and care providers to identify young persons and other carers who might have been able to assist with the investigation.
A number had appeared for the defence.
Police point out that any complaints against young people in care are taken seriously and anyone who believes any child or young person to be at risk can contact the PPU on 631212.
