Hospice Draw Helps Lucky Man Take Flight

by isleofman.com 13th February 2010

An unusual prize draw organised by Hospice Isle of Man has already resulted in one lucky winner claiming two free tickets to fly with Manx2.

Stuart Christian won the tickets in Hospice's January 'unwanted gifts' draw, part of an annual campaign which gives people with unpopular Christmas presents, or ones they can't use, the chance to donate them for a good cause.

Margaret Simpson, Chief Executive of Hospice Isle of Man, expressed her delight that this year’s draw attracted over 250 donations, as well as fantastic prizes donated generously by such organisations as Manx2.

"We are very grateful to Manx2 for their support to Hospice’s children’s unit Rebecca House and to the general public that gave so generously their unwanted gifts.  These gifts will be used during the forthcoming year at our events as raffle or auction prizes and help us continue to provide the same high standard of palliative care that Hospice has provided for the last 27 years."

Oskar and Craig, the 'bears' donated by Oskar’s Dreams, will make guest appearances at all Hospice events!
