Four arrests over grafitti attacks

by isleofman.com 10th February 2010

Four people have been arrested following an outbreak of nationalist grafitti around the Island.

Various nationalist slogans were daubed on walls and buildings last month, including the names of countries and the years they achieved independence from Britain.

Twenty offences of criminal damage were reported between the evening of January 16 and the following morning.

A 28 year-old man from Peel, a 24 year-old man from Port Erin, a 20 year-old woman from Ballaugh, and a 16 year-old boy from Peel have been interviewed by police and released on bail pending further enquiries.
