Celebrity beckons for Manx schoolgirl

An Isle of Man schoolgirl taking Japan by storm will have her debut album released in the country later today (Wednesday).

Rebecca Flint, 14, has become an internet phenomenon on the home of the on-line cartoon characters that she imitates.

More than eight million people have watched her dance routines performing as Beckii Cruel on You Tube in the attic of her home in the north of the Island.

Publishing giant Tokuma Japan has signed her up along with two other girls and the trio – known as Beckii Cruel and the Cruel Angels – release their debut album today which is tipped to top Japanese charts.
