No need for temporary health fund

by isleofman.com 9th February 2010

There’s no need to set up a temporary fund from government reserves to cover medical treatment for Island residents who fall ill in the UK.

The suggestion by Douglas North member Bill Henderson was ruled out by the Chief Minister in the House of Keys today (Tuesday).

Tony Brown reminded members that, only seven days ago, the House had agreed to look at a scheme to provide cover.

And he criticised some colleagues for their repetitive questioning when the position had already been confirmed.
