Hope for Bowl compromise

by isleofman.com 8th February 2010

Council Leader David Christian hopes a deal with the government over the Bowl redevelopment can still be salvaged.

There’s deadlock over the issue at the moment as the government wants to buy both the stadium and the car park next door to it – while the corporation says it needs to retain the parking spaces.

On Wednesday the issue will come up at a council meeting, when councillors will be asked to approve a compromise.

Mr Christian hopes the proposals will find favour with both sides.
