MPs respond to campaigning Onchan man

by isleofman.com 8th February 2010

An Onchan resident has secured a promise from the Tories that a future Conservative Government will review the ending of the Reciprocal Health Agreement.

Ray Wells, 70, from Manor Park has been conducting a lone campaign to restore the agreement, writting a stream of letters to UK MPs.

He's dismayed that in future, the cost of health insurance could mean he won't be able to travel to see his family, while they too, may be deterred from coming here.

In his letters, Mr Wells has told Labour MPs their government is splitting up the family unit.

And an appeal to the Tory leader appears to have had some impact.
