by isleofman.com 7th February 2010

A four year old girl from Douglas is in a serious but stable condition in Noble’s Hospital this morning (Sunday) after being struck by a car on Peel promenade yesterday afternoon.

She was hit opposite the skate park on Marine Parade just after 2pm.

Police say the car, a blue Citroen Xsara, was being driven slowly by a 33 year-old man from Douglas.

They’d like to speak to anyone who saw the car, saw what happened or was in the area of Marine Parade between one thirty and twenty past two yesterday afternoon.

The numbers to ring if you can help are police headquarters on 631212 or the Crimestoppers line – 0800 555 111.
