Festival of Manx Connections underway

by isleofman.com 5th February 2010

A celebration of the unsung work small Manx charities are doing overseas is underway at the Villa Marina.

The Festival of Manx Connections is a chance for those charities to showcase projects which are improving life for communities in developing countires.

There'll also be an opportunity for visitors to find out about the poeple, lifestyles and culture of those countries - beyond the poverty.

And there's music and performances from around the world on both evenings - with a huge Manx-meets-Africa jamming session on the cards tonight! (Friday).

Cheryl Cousins from the One World Centre has helped organised the event.
