by isleofman.com 4th February 2010

The Salvation Army in the Island will hold a concert this evening (Thursday) to help fund the charity’s ongoing work in Haiti.

As the full effects of the earthquake that devastated much of Haiti last month still emerge, the Salvation Army is caring for more than 20,000 people made homeless.

The initial response has been aimed at helping people survive, getting food, water and shelter to as many s possible.

Major Nigel Collins says a fundraising concert at the Island citadel in Lord Street in Douglas has been arranged.
