OFT warning after unlicensed traders target Island

by isleofman.com 4th February 2010

Be on your guard!

That’s the message from the Office of Fair Trading which is warning Island residents to be on their guard following a number of unlicensed traders going door to door.

It's thought they will try to sell you goods like carpet and mattresses.

Any off-Island traders operating on the Isle of Man must have a non-resident traders licence issued by the Office before they can do so.

If you come across such a trader you're urged to contact the Office of Fair Trading immediately.
