Five-car pile up in Mountain Road snow

There's been a five-vehicle pile-up in the snow on the Mountain Road this afternoon, while a car left the road at the Mountain Mile.

There was one minor injury in the former, while the person who went off suffered no injuries.

In total it's believed around ten vehicles have been involved in collisions up there, just before half past three when the emergency services announced the road was being closed because of the weather.

There have been no serious injuries reported as yet.

Sergeant George Quilliam of the Emergency Services Joint Control Room told Edward Oldham it's been pretty chaotic:
