Karran welcomes CoMin support

There's a new spirit of cooperation between the Liberal Vannin Party and the government, after the Council of Ministers supported party leader Peter Karran in the House of Keys yesterday.

A unanimous vote saw the Onchan MHK secure permission to introduce a bill which would provide universal health insurance for people travelling to and from the Isle of Man.

His plan is for all travellers to be charged a nominal sum which would buy health insurance from a private company, and the next step is for him to introduce draft legislation into the Keys.

After yesterday's debate, Mr Karran said he welcomed the support of the Council of Ministers:
