Facelift for Peel Railings

The Department of Transport is beginning reburbishment work on the railings on Peel shore.

 

vises that works to refurbish the railings on Peel Promenade are due to start at the beginning of February.

 

The first stage of the works will involve replacing the railings between the Quay and the kiosk with a wall. 

 

The posts from these railings that have been removed will be refurbished by the Department’s blacksmiths and will be used in the next stage of the works on Shore Road.

 

The work to construct the new wall is expected to last eight weeks and the replacement of the railings will then follow on.
