Members of the public are being invited to give their views on proposals for the future of the Isle of Man's bus network.

It's currently being reviewed by the Department of Tourism and Leisure with the aim of improving services and travel options.

Proposals include better services to Isle of Man Airport, the Sea Terminal and Noble's Hospital.

Island residents are being asked to provide feedback on the proposed changes, which are designed to improve access and frequency of services to local shops, businesses and residential areas.

Minister Martyn Quayle says the views of bus users and residents of all ages are essential for his department to deliver a range of services which reflects the needs and concerns of the travelling public.

The proposals can be viewed at  http://www.gov.im/ConsultationDetail.gov?id=134 and hard copies are also available, from outlets including the Isle of Man Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal and the public libraries in Douglas, Port Erin and Ramsey.

Replies must be received by the DTL by 12th March.

Following the consultation exercise, it's hoped the new network and timetables can be introduced in the spring of this year.
