PAG man says abrogation worth looking at

by isleofman.com 1st February 2010

The issue of abrogation is being explored at the latest meeting of the Positive Action Group this evening (Monday).

Some people in the Isle of Man believe it should be seriously considered, with relations with the United Kingdom potentially strained following the ending of the Reciprocal Health Agreement, the collapse of Kaupthing, Singer and Friedlander, and changes to the VAT Revenue Sharing Arrangement.

Although government officials say breaking the Island's ties with the UK is not an issue at the current time, Chris Robertshaw from PAG believes it's worth assessing (play audio file):

The public meeting takes place at the Manx Legion Club on Market Hill in Douglas at 7.30pm.
