A series of public meetings offering you the chance to influence policing in your area starts this week.
The meetings, which will be held in each of the five policing neighbourhoods, have been organised by the Island's Police Consultative Forum.
Area police inspectors will explain their priorities and strategy for the area and then hear views from the floor.
Local police chiefs say they're open to suggestions and may use some of the best ideas in their future plans.
Forum chairman Bob Jeavons believes such an initiative can offer real benefit.
The first public meeting will be held at Sulby Village Hall tomorrow (Tuesday) at seven thirty.
It's the turn of the south and west on Thursday.
Public meetings will be held at Castletown Civic Centre and Corrin Hall in Peel this Thursday evening (Feb 4).
