Union chief expresses concern over proposals

The government's 'big idea' has not gone down well with some trade unions, whose members learned about the changes for the first time this morning (Monday).

Union officials have fielded an influx of calls from public sector workers, worried about where their jobs fit, in the new-look government departments.

President of the Trades Council, Angela Moffatt, says lack of any consultation over the shake-up has left people angry and bewildered.
