A Douglas councillor says he doesn't understand why government seems to need the Bowl car park.
David Ashford was responding to Allan Bell’s comments that there can be no deal over the Bowl stadium without it.
Mr Ashford says the council has agreed to hand over the Bowl to government at the nominal figure of ?1 and even had advocates draw up a deed of sale.
He says the car park will still be there regardless and such facilities are clearly the remit of local authorities.
Mr Ashford also questions the government's commitment to the scheme and says if it DOES fail they will be to blame.
