No Shocks in Cup

There were no shocks as two of the remaining Cu Plas FA Cup preliminary round ties went ahead on Saturday.

2003 winners Ayre United saw off Douglas and District with ease.

The 4-0 victory came courtesy of goals from Phil Quayle, James Teare, Matty Montgomery and Johnny Kelly.

In the other match, Laxey saw off Colby 4-1, thanks to two from Ashley Webster and one each from Mike Fernandes and Nigel Beattie.

Kyle Lunn scored a late penalty for the Division Two side.
