by isleofman.com 30th January 2010

One of the Island's top swimmers has decided to drop out of competitive sport.

Sixteen year old Olivia Rawlinson has an incredible record in the Island Games over the years with 8 medals in Shetland in 2005 . ... the same number in Rhodes in 2007 . . . and 7 at the 2009 Aland Games including 4 gold in Backstroke . . Butterfly and Freestyle.

She also holds 57 Island swimming records.

Olivia says it was a very difficult decision to take . . . and isn't ruling out the possibility of returning to the sport in the future.
