Warning over unregulated net views

by isleofman.com 29th January 2010

The Celtic League has written to the Attorney General to express concern about anonymous and unregulated internet content.

They believe such comments have the potential to compromise court proceedings.

It's also claimed that generalised comments from the constabulary which coincide with a potential case on the Island may be unhelpful to the justice process.

Director of information Bernard Moffatt says everyone is entitled to a fair hearingand if the case is sensitive it's very easy for people to be prejudiced.
