Rates in Onchan and Braddan remain unchanged

by isleofman.com 29th January 2010

Ratepayers in Braddan and Onchan won't be seeing an increase in their charges during the new financial year.

Commissioners in the two areas have identified enough savings to offset increased costs of waste disposal so rates will remain the same as this year.

The increasing cost of refuse collection services is a result of the Department of Local Government and the Environment reducing the subsidy for waste burnt in the incinerator.
