Launch for Children's Centre Adventure Treks

by isleofman.com 29th January 2010

The Children’s Centre is offering up two challenges in 2010 to anyone seeking a charity adventure of a lifetime.

Mount Kilimanjaro (pictured) in Tanzania and the Great Wall of China are the stunning destinations for anyone who rises to the challenge of a charity trek.

These events, organised in conjunction with specialist organisers, Global Adventure Challenges, are being officially launched at The Children’s Centres offices on Woodbourne Road on Wednesday 10th February (China) and Thursday 11th February (Mt. Kilimanjaro) at 6pm.

There, full details of the challenges and itinerary will be unveiled, including where you’ll be staying, everything you need to do to prepare for the challenges and the various ways that the trip can be funded.

"Once again, we are thrilled to be able to offer this amazing opportunity to local people" said Marcie Dean, Fundraising Coordinator for the Charity.  "It really is the best of both worlds, travelling the globe while making a difference in your own community."

If you want to be part of an unforgettable challenge, and add to the total of £58,000 that previous fundraising trips to Borneo and Peru have raised, then you can’t afford to miss either of these launch events.

Spaces for both open evenings are limited, so you will need to register in advance.
