Family dog disappears after Peel burglary

by isleofman.com 26th January 2010

Police are investigating a burglary in Peel in which two mountain bikes were stolen from a house in North View.

They were later found in two separate locations around the town.

However, in stealing the bikes the burglar left the door of an outhouse open, allowing an elderly dog which was a family pet to escape.

The dog, a Springer Spaniel called Buddy, is blind and deaf and hasn't been seen since disappearing, causing considerable upset to his owners.

Police are appealing for information and would particularly like to speak to anyone who saw a person riding an orange Dawes men’s mountain bike in the Queens Drive/Albany Road/Peveril Road area of Peel between 2am and 9am on Saturday (January 23).

If you can help and if you have seen Buddy you should ring Peel police station on 842208.
