A Manx politician has returned from Afghanistan after a four day visit, during which he saw for himself the conditions experienced by British troops.
Rushen MHK Juan Watterson joined members of the United Kingdom parliament, including a member of the House of Lords, with senior staff at Camp Bastion in Helmand Province, a base for 4,200 British service personnel.
The tour was the culmination of a year's secondment to the RAF through the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme.
