MEDS moves back to new Noble's

by isleofman.com 25th January 2010

The Manx Emergency Doctor Service is moving back to Noble's Hospital, as the Department of Health and Social Security relaxes its swine flu prevention measures.

Eleven days ago the director of public health, Dr Parameswaran Kishore, told Manx Radio the pandemic was just about over on the Island, with no new cases reported since around Christmas.

MEDS was moved from Noble's to Westmoreland Road over three months ago, to free-up space at the hospital.

A dedicated facility was set up for receiving flu patients who required admission, but the DHSS says that's no longer necessary and MEDS will be back at the accident and emergency department at the new hospital, from 6pm today (Monday).
