Work is continuing this weekend at the site of the recent landslide in Bay View Road, Port St Mary.
The Department of Transport says the slippage has been underpinned, and the second phase of the project is proceeding well.
Phase two includes excavating the road surface to expose and fill the void, testing the water and sewage mains, investigating ground water in the area, and reconstructing the road.
The DoT says the opportunity is being taken to renew water and gas mains, and stretches of the road from the slippage to the junction with Victoria Road.
Work to investigate the flows of water will continue on Monday, with the cause of the landslip still unclear.
Phase two is expected to be completed next week, and the road reopened next weekend.
