Fundraiser makes Haiti donations easy

People in the Isle of Man will be running, walking and swimming to help those affected by the earthquakes in Haiti.

Local woman Rachel Blackwell has devised the eleven hundred mile challenge, in which local residents will be sponsored to cover one mile by any means.

It's hoped enough volunteers will take part to complete eleven hundred miles, which is the approximate length of Haiti's coastline.

Ms Blackwell says her idea makes it very simple to contribute to a very worthy cause (play audio file):
