If you enjoy the sound of the spoken word with some jazz thrown in, a fund-raising evening for the disaster in Haiti may be for you tonight.
It's been organised by a new group of performers and writers who call themselves VOICES.
They will be reading excerpts from a wide range of literature, from sonnets to satire, with musical interludes provided by the Jim Caine Jazz Quartet.
An Oxfam bucket collection will be held, with updates throughout the evening on the total sum raised.
The Empress Hotel has offered the use of a room and the event begins at 8pm.
