by isleofman.com 22nd January 2010

The funeral of former MHK Captain Andrew Douglas is being held this morning.

It's a week since he passed away at Hospice Isle of Man, at the age of 66.

Known primarily as a captain with the Steam Packet, as well as for his political work, he was also president of Gymns Football Club for 30 years.

Long-serving player Roger Davies says the club is working out a suitable, lasting tribute to Captain Douglas (play audio file):

Time and venue for funeral: 9.30am, Castletown Methodist Church, Arbory Street.
