Mountain Road is 'passable with care'

by isleofman.com 21st January 2010

The Mountain Road has reopened, after being off-limits to motorists for over two weeks.

It's been closed to traffic since the big snowfall on January 5.

The Department of Transport says the road is passable with care, but warns icy patches and black ice remain.

The Beinn-y-Phott Road remains closed.

The DoT's been working all week to clear the remaining snow from the Mountain, but was hampered by a fresh fall yesterday.
