Victims of genocide to be remembered

by isleofman.com 21st January 2010

Organisers of this weekend’s Holocaust Memorial Service are urging as many people as possible to go along and remember the victims of genocide.

It's the tenth year such a service has been held in the Isle of Man, and the venue will be St Mary's Church in Hill Street, Douglas.

Organiser Leonard Singer says although millions of Jews died during the holocaust, the idea is to remember all those who have lost their lives in various pogroms.

He hopes as many as people as possible, particularly young people, will get involved (play audio file):
Sunday's service at St Mary's starts at 3pm.
