MHK says lessons could've been learnt from health probe

Rushen MHK Quintin Gill says he’d hoped a select committee could find out where we could have done better as we argued the case for keeping the reciprocal health agreement.

Yesterday, his proposal for an investigation was voted down in Tynwald, which he says is a missed opportunity.

Mr Gill says the idea wasn’t to blame anybody for the end of the deal in April, but to find out if there’s a better way of dealing with the UK.

He says lessons could have been learned through the committee’s probe:
