Langness report due soon

by isleofman.com 18th January 2010

The Langness inquiry report should be completed by the end of the month.

Transport Minister David Anderson says he should be able to make a statement to next month's Tynwald about the findings.

The inquiry, which concluded in October, centres on public rights of way on the Langness peninsula and was sparked when TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson diverted a path around his home.

He says there's no right of way across his land, while local residents say they have been using the footpath for decades.
